Ginger Alden met Elvis Presley in late 1976, when her sister was Miss Tennessee and was invited to Graceland. Elvis was immediately taken by Ginger, and they started a romance that lasted until his untimely death in August 1977. In January of 1977, Elvis had his jeweler remove the large diamond from his famous TCB ring and craft an engagement ring for Ginger.
