This Christmas, Cinema in Concert brings one of the most beloved Christmas films of all time back to the stage in Forest National: Home Alone in Concert. During this festive production, the entire film will be screened on the big screen, while the music is performed by no fewer than 115 musicians from the Noordpool Orchestra and choir Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam conducted by Julian Bigg. They will play the iconic music by five-time Academy Award® winner John Williams live, perfectly synchronized with the film. Since its premiere in 1990, Home Alone has grown into a global Christmas tradition. The film tells the hilarious and heartwarming story of eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left home alone when his family leaves for the Christmas holidays. While Kevin enjoys his unexpected freedom, he must defend his home against two bumbling burglars. The result is a timeless family film full of humor, adventure, and Christmas spirit. An indispensable part of the film's success is the enchanting music by John Williams. His playful, moving, and festive score forms the musical heart of the film and is performed entirely live during Home Alone in Concert by the Noordpool Orkest and Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam choir. This brings the magic of the film to life more intensely than ever.
