Accessibility

Wheelchair and companion seating is configured with a 1 to 1 arrangement in the Orchestra Level (Right side). Companion seats are located in the row directly in front of the wheelchair area. Additional companion seats may be purchased in sections nearby. Seating is located in a designated area at the top of Orchestra Right side sections with wheelchair spaces in Row 15 & the companion seats in Row 14. The main lobby is completely accessible with entry from the main entrance doors. Wheelchair accessible washrooms are on the orchestra (main lobby) level. Depending on show configuration and production staging, some seats may not be open for all events. Accessible parking available with an accessible parking decal. To reserve call (604) 665-3072 and have your ticket info ready (show, date & seat location) at least 24 hours in advance. Reservations may be placed Mon-Fri 9am - 4:30pm. For weekend & Monday shows, call by Friday at 4:30pm.

Parking

Enter the parkade off Cambie Street. The parkade fills up quickly. Accessible parking is available at the Easy Park Queen Elizabeth Theatre parkade, with an accessible parking decal. Accessible parking must be reserved by phone 7-10 days in advance and is subject to availability. Easy Park Playhouse patrons may reserve accessible parking with a dedicated phone number: 604.706.1257. Also at an open air parking lot on Cambie Sttreet or the Vancouver Public Library: Underground lot between West Georgia and Robson Street; entrance off Hamilton Street.

Accessible seating

Accessible seating is available on the Orchestra level at row 15, a commpanion seat in may be booked in row 14. There is an elevator from the main level to the Balcony Level. Hearing assist units are available at the Coat Check. Patrons wanting to use either a VCT headset or neck-loop and receiver (for T-Coil equipped personal hearing aids, or cochlear implants) should request these in advance by emailing VCTAudienceServices@vancouver.ca See Accessibliity Page https://vancouvercivictheatres.com/accessibility/#accessibility

Venue rules

Children

Vancouver Civic Theatres requires that all audience members, including children, must have a ticket. There are no exemptions to this policy regardless of the child's age. If you bring young children to a performance, please be respectful of other patrons by encouraging them to observe proper theatre etiquette such as sitting still and not talking during the performance. If children become restless during the performance, you may be asked to take them into the lobby. All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by another patron 16 years of age or older.
