Accessibility

Accessible seating is configured with a 1 to 1 arrangement in the Orchestra and Mezzanine Levels. Companions will have a seat provided to them beside the wheelchair. Additional companion seats may be purchased in sections nearby. The concourse area is completely accessible with entry from the main entrance doors. Elevator access available from the main lobby to the mezzanine level and the upper balcony. Wheelchair accessible washrooms located on the orchestra and mezzanine levels. Accessible parking is available with valid decal and may be reserved in advance for Queen E parkade (off Cambie). With ticket info, call (604)665-3050 at least 24 hours in advance. Depending on show configuration and stage set up, some sections may not be open for all events.

Parking

Parking near the ANNEX is limited. Give yourself extra time before your event to find parking. There is a small parkade under the ANNEX with no elevator access. There is parking in the neighbourhood, at meters, and public parking lots. Metropolitan Towers at 930 Seymour Street is one option (the elevator closes at 10:30pm) or an open air parking lot at 848 Seymour Street access via Seymour.

Accessible seating

Wheelchair seating is available on the Main Level at row 1, one companion seat may be purchased. There is an elevator from street level and between the main level and Gallery level. Hearing assist units are available at the Coat Check. Patrons wanting to use either a VCT headset or neck-loop and receiver (for T-Coil equipped personal hearing aids, or cochlear implants) should request these in advance by emailing VCTAudienceServices@vancouver.ca See Accessibliity Page https://vancouvercivictheatres.com/accessibility/#accessibility

Venue rules

No smoking. No outside food & beverage. Any item that is deemed a safety hazard as identified by VCT staff may be prohibited on the day of the show. See VCT Code of Conduct on web site. https://vancouvercivictheatres.com/about-us/code-of-conduct/

Children

Vancouver Civic Theatres requires that all audience members, including children, must have a ticket. There are no exemptions to this policy regardless of the child's age. If you bring young children to a performance, please be respectful of other patrons by encouraging them to observe proper theatre etiquette such as sitting still and not talking during the performance. If children become restless during the performance, you may be asked to take them into the lobby. All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by another patron 16 years of age or older.
