Children's Policy: Children under 2 years are admitted for free provided they do not occupy a seat. Strictly no standing or dancing is permitted in the Mezzanine and Dress Circle. Accessible Seating & Companion Card Holders: Some accessible seating can be purchased online. The Companion Card must be presented upon request. Call Ticketmaster's Accessible Seating line on 1300 446 925 for Accessible / Companion Card & Hearing Loop bookings or information. There is a minimum of 20 stairs to the Dress Circle and Stalls. Patrons needing easy access seats should book for the Mezzanine. Row H has no stairs. There are 2 stairs per row from the back row (eg row G has 2 stairs, row F has 4 stairs etc)

Accessibility

To avoid delays patrons requiring a wheelchair bay are encouraged to book their own tickets online where available. Bays can be purchased using the interactive seating map, with the option of additional paid or Companion Card tickets in the seat adjacent to the bay. Further requests & Companion Card holders who do not require a wheelchair bay, can book by phoning Ticketmaster's accessible seating line on 1300 446 925 or by following the link below. Please note that all Companion Card holders must visit the Box Office prior to entry and present their Companion Card to collect their tickets. Patrons with access needs should arrive at least half an hour prior to the performance and see the Front of House Manager for assistance. Mobility accessible seating is available in the back row of the Mezzanine - Row H is at street level. The Mezzanine is accessed by climbing only 2 steps - a ramp is put in place for wheelchair patrons to access the Mezzanine at Row H .

Parking

Our preferred Car Park is located at the Queen Victoria Building (QVB). The entry to the car park is via York Street, with the option to self-park or utilize the valet parking service. Please present your parking ticket at the Theatre Manager Office to validate your parking for a discount rate of $12 during weeknights (entry after 5pm) and weekends. Accessible seating

Wheelchair and disabled seating through the State Theatre. Call 1300 446 925 OR 02 8272 2700 for bookings. Due to heritage restrictions the State theatre currently has no hearing loop or disabled toilet within the theatre. Access to the State Theatre is on Market Street with seating on ground level.

Venue rules

Due to heritage restrictions, no standing or dancing is permitted in the Mezzanine or the Dress Circle.

Children

All persons entering the auditorium must hold a valid ticket. Exceptions may be relevant for a designated children

Box office

Monday and Thursday 10:30am - 1:30pm Tuesday and Wednesday closed On performance days the box office will remain open 15 minutes after the start of the main act.
