Few bands deliver rock ?n? roll chaos with the consistency, heart and sheer melodic punch of The Wildhearts, with this show being the first time the band has played in Oxford in over twenty years! Led by the indefatigable Ginger Wildheart, the band remain a force of nature: riffs stacked like tower blocks, choruses built to be shouted back, and that unmistakable fusion of punk energy, metal bite and power pop sparkle that no one else has ever quite replicated. Security - Bag Policy: Large bags including rucksacks are not allowed. There are no facilities to leave large bags or luggage. If you really have to bring a bag - and it's preferable you don't, please make sure it's small. Only one small bag per person is permitted and it must not be bigger than A4 size. About The Wildhearts

The Wildhearts are an English rock band, formed in 1989 in Newcastle upon Tyne. The band's sound is a mixture of hard rock and melodic pop music, often described in the music press as combining influences as diverse as the Beatles and 1980s-era Metallica. The Wildhearts achieved several top 20 singles and two top 10 albums in Britain, though they also faced difficulties with record companies and many internal problems often relating to drugs and depression. Much of the band's early career was affected by bitter feuds with their record company, East West.
